Welcome to Orbis Nova
Orbis Nova is a veteran-owned aging-in-place consulting and project management firm serving Southwest Ohio, Northern Kentucky, and Southern Indiana. We help people stay safely in the homes they love — longer.
The Story
Built From Experience. Driven By Purpose.
For decades, we've worked inside people's homes — assessing conditions, identifying hazards, and coordinating the kind of skilled trades work that makes a real difference in how a home functions. Over time, one thing became impossible to ignore: families were struggling to navigate the process of making their parents' homes safer. They knew something needed to change, but didn't know where to start, who to call, or how to manage it all while balancing everything else in their lives.
Orbis Nova was built to solve exactly that problem. We assess the home, develop a clear plan, coordinate qualified contractors, and manage the entire process — so families can focus on what matters most.
The Expertise Behind Every Assessment
When you invite Orbis Nova into your family's home, you're getting a level of expertise that goes beyond a standard home inspection or generic contractor recommendation.

CAPS Certified — Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist through the National Association of Home Builders. CAPS certification requires specialized training in home modification, accessibility standards, and the specific needs of aging adults. Orbis Nova is among a small number of CAPS-certified professionals in Southwest Ohio.

Licensed Ohio Electrical Contractor — Ohio License #46729, fully bonded and insured. Electrical safety — lighting levels, outlet placement, GFCI protection, smart home integration — is one of the most commonly overlooked factors in home safety for aging adults. Having a licensed electrical contractor leading every assessment means nothing gets missed.

Veteran-Owned — Founded and operated by a U.S. military veteran, with the discipline and attention to detail that comes with it.

How We Work
What Families Can Expect
We know that researching home modifications for a parent or loved one can feel overwhelming. Our process is designed to make it straightforward.

Step 1 — The Assessment We visit the home and conduct a thorough room-by-room safety evaluation. We look at everything — entry access, flooring, lighting, bathrooms, stairs, electrical systems, and more — and document what we find clearly and honestly.

Step 2 — The Report Within a few days, you receive a written report with prioritized recommendations, estimated cost ranges, and a clear explanation of why each modification matters. No pressure, no sales pitch — just honest information you can act on at your own pace.

Step 3 — Project Management If you decide to move forward with modifications, Orbis Nova coordinates every contractor and manages every detail. You never have to track down a plumber, follow up with a carpenter, or wonder if the work meets code. We handle it — and your family pays contractors directly, with no markups.
